Kid Rock insists he has no plans to stop using the Confederate flag onstage during his concerts, despite the controversy associated with an emblem that many associate with racism and the bad ol’ days of slavery in the South.
As Gossip Cop reports, the Detroit rocker’s stance caused him to come under fire this week when the Michigan chapter of the National Action Network protested a Detroit museum housing a Kid Rock exhibit.
As Kid has stated, he uses the flag in his concerts to symbolize Southern pride, not to glorify the racist aspects that are associated with it. “Please tell the people who are protesting to kiss my ass,”; he said in a statement to Fox News’ Megyn Kelly. “Ask me some questions.”
One person who’s not buying Kid Rock’s explanation is Seth Rogen, who goofed on him via Twitter, reminding the rocker he’s not actually FROM the South:
Does Kid Rock know he’s from Detroit?
