Mariah Carey’s performance at last year’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” was a bit of disaster, but she’s coming back this year for redemption and host Ryan Seacrest is excited.

Appearing on “Good Morning America”, Seacrest talked about bringing Carey back to perform once again.

“We’re excited to have her back. She’s going to do a couple of songs, one of which will be ‘Hero’ right before midnight outside in that cold,” Seacrest said.

During her performance last year, Carey stopped mid-song, telling the audience “We can’t hear,” adding: “We didn’t have a sound check, but it’s New Year’s, baby. It’s OK, guys.”

Hopefully this year’s performance won’t be plagued by any similar technical difficulties.
