Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson are reportedly being accused of stealing the sound that helped “Uptown Funk” top the charts.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, female rap trio The Sequence say the hit song shares far too many elements with their 1970s song “Funk You Up”.

The Sequence’s song was the third-ever rap song to crack Billboard‘s top 50 singles. The group supposedly said, “Uptown Funk” uses “significant and substantially similar compositional elements” to their song.
This is not the first time the duo of Mars and Ronson have been hit with lawsuits over their mega-popular single. The most recent of several lawsuits against the collaborators was dished out this past September.
