Nobody wins when the family feuds.
That’s the message sent by Lil Wayne and Drake in their new collab, a sizzling new remix of JAY-Z’s Beyonce-featuring “Family Feud” (which has been making waves with the provocative new video, released earlier this week).
The original track made its deut on JAY-Z’s “4:44” album, but this new version features Drake name-dropping such controversial figures as Donald Trump and Colin Kaepernick, and even appears to address Meek Mill and his recent prison sentence.
“Too long, like a sentence from a Philly judge / F**k is the point in all the beef, when we really blood,” Drake raps after apparently squashing his feud with the rival rapper.
The duo’s new remix comes hot on the heels of the release of Lil Wayne’s “Dedication 6” mixtape, which features Nicki Minaj and samples such artists as Kendrick Lamar.
On Friday, JAY-Z released the new “Godfather”-themed video for “Family Feud”, directed by Ava DuVernay. Available exclusively on Tidal, you can watch a snippet below:
