The famed actress vented about how studios are ruining the movie viewing experience in a new interview with Radio Times.

“Going to the movies has become like a theme park,” the two-time Oscar winner said.  “Studios making bad content in order to appeal to the masses and shareholders is like fracking — you get the best return right now but you wreck the earth.”

As far as Foster, 55, is concerned, Hollywood’s formula is watering down audiences. “It’s ruining the viewing habits of the American population and then ultimately the rest of the world,” explained Foster. “I don’t want to make $200 million movies about superheroes.”

In fact, the current state of the movie business has her questioning her career choice on occasion: “Why didn’t I go to law school? Why didn’t I pursue the path of academia?”
