Mariah Carey’s New Year’s Eve performance went off without a hitch Sunday night as she took to the stage once again for “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” in Times Square.

Despite the 47-year-old singer’s disastrous performance last year, which saw her stop mid-song and tell the audience “we can’t hear,” she definitely managed to redeem herself Sunday as she braved subzero temperatures for the eagerly-anticipated show.

Carey belted out a two-song set in the lead-up to the countdown at midnight, with her treating fans to a performance of “Vision of Love,” her first single from 1990, and “Hero,” her much-loved 1993 track.

She told the crowd, “Happy New Year! Just want to take a sip of tea if they’ll let me. They told me there would be tea. Oh! It’s a disaster. OK. Well, we’ll just have to rough it.”

“I’m going to be just like everybody else with no hot tea. But we’re going to try and do this one for you,” the hitmaker went on.

Carey even stuck around to sing along to Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” before giving a short interview to Ryan Seacrest.

She told the host: “Oh, I’m feeling a lot better than last year, when I had to get my own police escort to walk away.”
