Apparently it’s not enough he was the year’s sexiest man. You had to go and vote him the year’s biggest star as well.
That’s right: Blake Shelton won the double late on December 31, beating out 63 other competitors in ET Canada’s tournament of 2017.
This really shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone (except perhaps Shelton himself, who accepted the ‘world’s sexiest’ title with a generous amount of humility). The guy won (albeit controversially… then again, everything is controversial on Twitter) People magazine’s coveted Sexiest Man Alive title just months ago, got a wax figure at Madame Tussauds, and recently released his eleventh studio album, Texoma Shore. Nevermind “year”, Shelton could be the star of the decade.
Shelton pulverized The Rock in the first round, Reese withered in his presence in the second, he told Justin Bieber “sorry” in the third, he was Wonder Woman’s kryptonite (or whatever) in the fourth, and Thor’s kryptonite (or whatever) in fifth. Alessia Cara, despite being Brampton’s darling, was not the darling of Canada, falling in the final round to “The Voice” judge.

2017 as a whole will now be noted in the history books for something more than the Trump administration virtually inciting a nuclear war and the revelation that almost every male celebrity is vile.
