The faces of Tenacious D and Culture Club aligned forces on Conan last night to (literally) sing tribute to The Doors.

Jack Black and Boy George were both guests on the late night program and a chat about the classic rock band wound up morphing into a musical performance complete with Doors guitarist Robby Krieger lending an assist. Let this be a remind to all talk shows to have a large warehouse of famous musicians under the studio on the off-chance you might need to call them up for a performance. (As you might remember, David Letterman wasn’t afraid to have Lou Rawls on stand-by just in case.)

The duo of Jack & George provided a combo Lizard King rendition of “Hello, I Love You”; and we suspect you’ll find that they did a bang-up job. It could use a touch of Doof Warrior, but what can you do?
