Meghan Markle will join Prince Harry on January 9 for her first official engagement of 2018.
Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, will visit radio station Reprezent 107.3FM in Brixton, South London, where they will see their work supporting young people through creative training in radio and broadcasting. They will also learn more about using music, radio, and media for social impact.
The Reprezent training program was established in Peckham in 2008 in response to an alarming rise in knife crime. It was launched in a bid to help young people develop and socialize through radio.
Harry and his bride-to-be will meet some of the presenters, content producers, and staff at the studios during their visit.
They will also hear more about some of their training programs, as well as meeting some of the current and former volunteers who have benefitted from the training.
Harry and Markle’s engagement will come after they reportedly welcomed in the New Year in the French Riviera.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple, who announced their engagement in November, booked an economy flight to help avoid generating too much attention to themselves en route to Nice.
The duo, who are set to tie the knot in May, are said to have boarded the plane first and sat at the very back by the toilets. They also booked three rows of economy seats, either side of the aisle, for them and their three “edgy and nervous” bodyguards.
