Seth Meyers is set to host the Golden Globes for the first time on Sunday night, so Ellen DeGeneres took it upon herself to give him some tips as he appeared on her show Wednesday.
Meyers, 44, definitely learnt a thing or two in terms of what could go wrong while hosting live, with DeGeneres, 59, putting the presenter through an award show boot camp.
DeGeneres thought up numerous ways to distract Meyers as he attempted to read the autocue, with her dangling things in his face before getting him to twerk and put on lipstick, among many other things.
Meyers spoke about how he’s going to tackle the hosting duties after such a tough year, with numerous stars coming forward to tell their stories of sexual harassment following the Harvey Weinstein exposé.
Meyers told DeGeneres: “I think the biggest thing will be hitting the right tone, but also we don’t want to ignore the things that have been happening this year, so we’ll try to find that balance.”
He added of when he’s planning to start drinking, “I think right after the opening monologue!”
During his appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Meyers also shared an adorable video of his son, Ashe, making up his own Hanukkah prayer while lighting the menorah.
