Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer’s bromance isn’t just a party of two!
The “Call Me By Your Name” co-stars have become inseparable since filming the romantic drama, taking this year’s awards circuit by storm – but Hammer’s wife, Elizabeth Chambers, is equally involved in the lovefest.
Receiving the Rising Star Award at the 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival, Chalamet thanked Chambers “for letting me crawl all over your husband for two months. Thank you for that.”
The buzzworthy film, based on the novel of the same name, tells the story of a 17-year-old (Chalamet) who falls for his father’s 24-year-old research assistant (Hammer). The chemistry between the two has clearly translated beyond the screen, as Chalamet further explained in his acceptance speech.
“I’m grateful for your big brotherhood and your guidance and your friendship,” the actor gushed. “To have someone in your position, and as talented as you are, be a mentor to me for the last two years is invaluable to me. I really mean it, man.”
Chalamet also shouted out “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot, who was honoured as a “rising star” as well.
“Gal, your film has literally made 250 times more money than my movie has,” he joked. “I’m left feeling a little insecure, unqualified to be up here but it’s okay.”
