Christian Bale, who played Batman in Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy, admitted he’s yet to see Ben Affleck take on the role of the superhero.

The 43-year-old, who starred in the much-loved films between 2005 and 2012, insisted he’ll “certainly see” Affleck’s performance as the Caped Crusader at some point, despite not finding the time to as of yet.

Bale said during an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with MTV’s Josh Horowitz: “I have not [seen Ben Affleck’s Batman]. Yes, I’m interested [in seeing it], my son seemed like he was really interested, but then I realized he just wanted to see the trailer and that was it. And, you know, I tend to go see films that [my kids] want to see.”

Bale, who has starred in a fair few superhero flicks in his time, also added that he’s not a huge fan of the genre.

“People seem surprised at that, I don’t know why, but I’ve not seen any of the ‘Avengers’ films or any of those films at all. I hear they’re very good, but I’m quite happy just hearing they’re very good.”

Despite Bale not having seen Affleck in “Batman”, the pair have crossed paths and Bale made sure to pass along some valuable advice to his successor.

Affleck told Graham Norton last year that Bale had warned him, “Make sure you’ve got a zipper in that suit. I did three movies without a zipper.”
