David Duchovny Reveals He Lost Out On ‘Full House’ Role

“The X-Files” would be so different.

Star David Duchovny revealed to Jimmy Kimmel that before he got the role of Agent Fox Mulder, he auditioned for “Full House”.

“I was auditioning for every show that would have me,” he says. “Right before [‘The X-Files’], I had great disappointment because I auditioned for a show called ‘Full House’ a couple years earlier.”

So which role was in Duchovny’s sights?

“I had actually auditioned for all three parts,” he explains. “They could not figure how to use me.”

As we all know, everything worked out in the end with Bob Saget, John Stamos, and Dave Coulier making up the Tanner family and Duchovny teaming up with Gillian Anderson for “The X-Files”.
