Paul Sorvino is no more forgiving than his mafioso character Paulie Cicero in “Goodfellas”.
In an interview with TMZ, Sorvino voiced his disgust for disgraced Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein. Sorvino’s daughter Mira was allegedly blacklisted from the movie industry by Weinstein after she turned down his sexual advances.
“If I meet him on the street, he ought to hope that he goes to jail,” Sorvino threatened when told the DEA was making progress in their criminal case against Weinstein.
“Cause if not, he has to meet me,” warned the 78-year-old actor. “And I will kill the motherf**ker.”
His daughter Mira thanked her dad for his unconditional support in a tweet published Wednesday. “My love for my father has only continued to grow since this moment,” she tweeted.
Showering Sorvino with praise, Mira continued: “He is the most loving father, the most brilliant actor, the most beautiful operatic tenor, the most talented visual artist — the wisest and most human advice giver and best grandpa ever!”
Sorvino’s murderous threat generated a mixed reaction on Twitter, with some users applauding the actor’s vocal support for his daughter and others shunning him for stooping to such “toxic masculinity.”
