Steady yourself, Lindi Ortega’s new full-length is nearly here.

Last year’s CCMA Awards Roots Artist of the Year has her freshly completed fourth album due out August 7 and she’s offering a sneak peek via Rdio of one of the upcoming cuts. The Faded Gloryville track “I Ain’t That Girl”; pops up on a streamable Enhanced Commentary Playlist that also includes segments from an upcoming interview with George Stroumboulopoulos for The Strombo Show. As you might imagine, we’ve embedded said playlist into this very post.

“The goal was to create a record as broad and varied as Ortega’s influences, which run the gamut from ’70s country records to classic soul,”; proclaims a press release trumpeting Faded Gloryville“s sound.

In addition to releasing her new album, Ortega will be spending August onwards hitting assorted locales on a packed North American tour. British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario all score dates on the itinerary.
