With the awards season in full swing after Sunday night’s 75th annual Golden Globes, Hollywood’s elite are set to make the trip across the pond to attend the BAFTA Film Awards in London.
This year’s British ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 18, and will be hosted by Joanna Lumley, after Stephen Fry announced he was stepping down.
The full list of nominations have been announced and Guillermo del Toro’s “The Shape of Water” leads the way with 12 nods, including Best Film, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay and Best Director.
The film is closely followed by “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” and “Darkest Hour”, both bagging nine nominations each.

All three are up for the Best Film award, with them being joined by “Dunkirk” and “Call Me By Your Name”.
After the nominations were announced Tuesday, fans were quick to take to Twitter to criticize the awards for a lack of diversity.

Social media users pointed out that, once again, the Best Director category was all male, while others accused the list of being “overwhelmingly white.”
The comments come just days after Natalie Portman made a stand by pointing out the female directors snub at Sunday’s Golden Globes.
