Sign Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks up as supporters of Oprah for president.

“The Post” stars appeared together on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Tuesday to talk about their new film and working together for the first time, but first they had a gift for DeGeneres: a shirt with the words “Time’s Up” embroidered on it to match the ones Streep and Hanks were wearing.

Hanks also talked about delivering martinis to his table at the Golden Globes on Sunday.

“It was like I was one of those truckers on mountain roads with a load full of nitroglycerin,” he joked.

Of course, when talking about the Golden Globes, the subject of Winfrey’s big speech and potential presidential run was bound to come up.

“Where do I send the cheque,” Streep said.

Hanks joked that while Winfrey was speaking, the water in the pool at the hotel separated.

“You realize how we thirst for that,” Streep added. “We really want that kind of elevated, aspirational, can-do, optimistic attachment to the principles of our country.”

Late in the show, DeGeneres challenged Streep and Hanks to take on each other’s most famous roles.

Streep tried her hand at a pitch-perfect Forrest Gump imitation, and Hanks responded with a hilarious imitation of Streep’s iconic performance in “The Devil Wears Prada”.

The fun wasn’t over, though, as DeGeneres handed Streep a cowboy hat to do her best Woody from “Toy Story”, and then gave Hanks a wig to give a go at Margaret Thatcher from “The Iron Lady”.
