UPDATE: Tuesday, July 21 (3:01 p.m. ET): Country singer Chris Young has seen his name pop up in rumours and reports suggesting that he was a factor in Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s divorce. As a result, he’s taking to social media to stamp out those claims.
In a Facebook post addressing the matter, Young says claims of an affair are completely untrue.
“I don’t normally address gossip but in this case I will,”; writes Young. “My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda’s divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys – CY”;

Speculation has been intense surrounding the news that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have filed for divorce, with one report claiming that worries about possible infidelity sparked the split.
TMZ is claiming that Shelton filed for divorce because he suspected Lambert of being unfaithful. The outlet says they’ve spoken with multiple sources that indicate Shelton heard rumours his wife was hooking up with someone else. TMZ also claims that Shelton has been incredibly upset over the situation and told Lambert that she needs to get her animals off his ranch by Monday.
Rumours have swirled in the press perviously that Shelton had cheated on Lambert during their time together, but People says they’ve spoken with a source that has slammed that chatter as false.
“Blake is just that incredibly loyal and dedicated husband,”; the source told People. “I can guarantee you he has been faithful to that woman.”;
According to People, the breakup has left Lambert “sad and trying to process everything.”;
“She’s doing the best she can and taking it day by day,”; said People“s source.
