Fans of the Jonas Brothers sparked an online frenzy this week as the band seemingly dropped a couple of very small hints that they could be getting back together at some point in the near future, and Nick Jonas is open to the possibility.

People reports that speaking to E! on the red carpet at the 2018 Grammys, Jonas explained the rumours, saying, “We hung out for a weekend all together and I guess our Instagram was restarted.”

As for whether the band might get back together, Jonas added, “Right now there’s no reunion planned. But never say never—you never know what’s going to happen.”

Nick, Joe, and Kevin, who called it a day back in October 2013 due to “creative differences,” set tongues wagging after reactivating the group’s Instagram account after around four years.

Fans then caused even more chaos online after noticing musician Ryan Liestman, who previously worked with the trio from 2007-2013, had posted a “family reunion” snap.

Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long at all for social media users to comment on the speculation in droves, with many convincing themselves that this could be the year the Jonas Brothers would be taking to the stage as a threesome once again.

The latest rumours come after Nick admitted that he was the reason the brothers broke up.

He said during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live”: “In a nutshell, I said, ‘Look, I feel like we’ve had some complications within the group for a long time without addressing them. I think this train will fall off the tracks without really getting real about some of the concerns and some of the limitations that we may feel as individuals in the group.’

“It was a very tough conversation, and it left the family kind of shaken up for a little while. I mean, we were about to start a tour. We were two days from starting a tour.”
