She’s got diamonds and purses aplenty, but Melania Trump just wants to be where the people are in James Corden’s hilarious spoof of “The Little Mermaid”.
Dressed in a grey coat, dress, and heels, the “Late Late Show” host pines for a pre-presidential life outside of the White House. Riffing on the classic Disney tune “Part Of Your World”, Corden’s Melania is surrounded by dancing Secret Service agents and Russian dancers as she longs to spend a day “with a grown man.”
“There’s women sick of him and ready to stand,” Corden sings in Melania’s escape fantasy. “Betcha out there they understand that they can’t seduce their daughters.”
“Out where they walk, out where they run, out where they don’t collude with Russians. Wandering free, wish I could be, part of that world,” the song continues as Melania wishes to be “out of D.C.”
Featuring nods to everything from Michael Wolff’s book Fire And Fury to Donald Trump’s penchant for late-night Twitter tirades, Melania’s musical dreams come to an end when she hears her husband bellowing from another room.
