After his big win for Male Actor In A Comedy Series at the SAG Awards, William H. Macy got candid about the Time’s Up movement.
Speaking to reporters backstage, the three-time SAG Award winner spoke about how men are reacting to the fight for gender parity in the workplace, admitting, “It’s hard to be a man these days.”
“I think a lot of us feel like we’re under attack and feel like we need to apologize,” the “Shameless” star admitted. “Perhaps we do. Perhaps we are. But we’ll keep talking.”
In fact, Macy revealed that a number of men in Hollywood gathered recently to discuss their role within the movement.
He shared, “We had a meeting, a bunch of guys got together under the auspices of Time’s Up. And that’s good for men. Men don’t talk enough and they don’t talk to other men. And we talked.”
