Sean “Diddy” Combs may have performed at the Super Bowl back in 2004, but the rapper said nobody remembers him taking the stage because of that wardrobe malfunction.
Combs, 48, appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” Sunday and was asked by host Andy Cohen, 49, about whether or not Justin Timberlake could be joined by Janet Jackson again next month during his halftime performance.
Before answering the question, Combs admitted he’d been overshadowed by Jackson, 51, who accidentally exposed her breast to the nation as she performed alongside Timberlake, 36, 14 years ago.
The rapper recalled, “First of all, I wanna say that I’m still upset about that Super Bowl because I put, like, six months of my life into the preparations and then… nobody even knew I performed. Y’all don’t even know I performed at the Super Bowl!”
Does Combs think the pair could recreate the moment on stage, without flashing so much flesh this time? “I think that would be great, it’s time to move on. I think she’s in a great place and the world just needs to get over it.”

Combs’ comments come after Timberlake was asked, once again, about the wardrobe malfunction during a chat with Apple Music’s Beats 1.
The musician admitted NFL officials “naturally” discussed the topic ahead of his February 4 performance at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Timberlake shared, “That’s something we talked about. To be honest, it wasn’t too much of a conversation… it’s just one of those things where you go, like, ‘Yeah, what do you want me to say? We’re not going to do that again!'”
