Genie Bouchard and her super-fan Twitter date are heading to the Super Bowl – where their story began.
During last year’s Super Bowl, University of Missouri student John Goehrke tweeted at Bouchard when the Patriots were trailing the Atlanta Falcons 28-3, proposing they go on a date if New England rallied to win.
As we all know, the Patriots won and only a few weeks later Bouchard accompanied Goehrke courtside at a Brooklyn Nets game.

Fast forward to 2018, when the Patriots clenched another spot in the Super Bowl, the NFL has invited the pair to this year’s big game.
“Hey, @geniebouchard and @punslayintwoods!” The official Twitter account for NFL Canada tweeted. “Be our guests at #SBLII?”
Bouchard immediately responded, “OMG. Back to where it all began?! And with the @Patriots too?! I’m in! What do you say @punslayintwoods?”
And of course, Goehrke accepted, “This keeps getting better. I’m in!”

Bouchard and Goehrke have been close since their first date. Both have appeared on each other’s social media accounts hanging out. Most recently, in December the pair were spotted in Miami.
