The Hadid sisters are causing controversy in the pages of British Vogue, but their mother is defending them.
Models Gigi and Bella Hadid are each featured on dual covers of the magazine’s Spring Fashion issue, but another photo of the two sisters inside the issue is what caught people’s eye.
The photo shows the Hadid sisters posing nude together, their legs crossed over each other.
TMZ caught up with the sisters’ mother Yolanda Hadid who was asked about the photo.
“I love it!” Yolanda said. “Love the skin you’re in, baby!”
On the negative reaction to the photo online, Yolanda said simply, “No comment.”
When the covers for the British Vogue issue dropped, Yolanda shared them on Instagram, writing “So proud of you my love” on Gigi’s cover and “Keep shining baby girl, I love you” on Bella’s.
After posting the image of the naked sisters on their Instagram page, British Vogue received a decidedly mixed response.
Though some called the photo “stunning,” much of the response referred to the image as “disturbing.”
“Incest is not beautiful,” wrote one commenter, with another writing, “Why do most magazines’ covers look like they are out of a man’s fantasy?! How is this empowering?! How does this defy objectifying women?! I don’t even see the ‘art’ in it!”
Some also pointed to what appeared to be some extensive photoshop work, writing, “That is not Bella’s face,” and “It’s unbelievable that we have two of the most beautiful young women and they still needed to photoshop the hell out of them. Why?”
The sisters both proudly shared their cover photos on Instagram, with Gigi writing that she is “very honoured to be your March cover girl.”

In the cover story interview with the sisters, 22-year-old Gigi talked about social media reactions to her posts about boyfriend Zayn Malik.
“I post what I think would be normal to post of your boyfriend,” Gigi said. “The comments are: ‘It’s extra, it’s fake.’ But if I don’t do it enough then it’s: ‘Oh they’re fake, they’re not really together.’ I try to do what feels real to me, and do it with integrity.”
Gigi also talked about watching over her younger sister Bella, 21.
“She’s one of the only people I’ll get aggressive for,” Gigi said. “She makes me so proud. I would do anything for her.”
