Shrinking superhero “Ant-Man” is returning to the big screen, but he is not alone.
As evident by the movie’s title, Paul Rudd will reprise his role as Ant-Man alongside returning Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly as his partner-in-crime Wasp.
Marvel Studios shared a first look at “Ant-Man and the Wasp” on Tuesday, with a focus on the fallout from the first movie and the introduction of Wasp as a full-fledged superhero.
The movie centres on protecting Ant-Man’s family, the renegade superheroes’ run-ins with local and federal authorities, and rescuing the original Wasp — played by Michelle Pfeiffer — from “the quantum realm.”
Both Michael Pena and Michael Douglas will reprise their roles from the original film, as well as rapper T.I. and actress Judy Greer. Laurence Fishburne joins the cast as the superhuman Goliath, while “Fresh Off the Boat” star Randall Park debuts as S.H.I.E.L.D secret agent Jimmy Woo.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” hits theatres July 6th.
