John Krasinski Jumps Into Action With ‘Jack Ryan’ Super Bowl Ad

Amazon Prime has debuted the Super Bowl trailer for its upcoming “Jack Ryan” series with John Krasinski ahead of Sunday’s big game.

Set to air following Justin Timberlake’s half time show, the trailer for “Jack Ryan” has Krasinski following in the footsteps of Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine as the latest iteration of the Tom Clancy character. The eight-episode series will focus on a younger Ryan than previously seen on the big screen with the character just beginning his career as a CIA analyst.

The thrilling new series — co-starring “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” actress Abbie Cornish — sees Ryan uncovering a pattern in terrorist communications which puts him directly into the centre of a dangerous game and a new breed of terrorism threatening destruction on a global scale. Set in the present day, the series is not directly adapted from any of Clancy’s books.

While fans can get a sneak peak at Sunday’s Super Bowl ad online now, they’ll have to wait until August 31 to catch the series when it debuts on Amazon Prime.
