Fresh off his five-Grammy win Sunday night, Kendrick Lamar is revealing his latest project, the “Black Panther” soundtrack.
It was revealed earlier this year that Lamar would take on the Marvel flick’s soundtrack as the producer, but the rapper has finally released the track list.
Lamar — featured on five tracks — joins The Weeknd, SZA, Travis Scott, Khalid, 2 Chainz and Future on the 14-song album inspired by the soon-to-be blockbuster.
Back in January, when the album was announced, Lamar told Variety he was excited for the opportunity. “Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther’ is amazing, from its cast to its director,” he told THR. “The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honoured to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside [director] Ryan [Coogler] and Marvel’s vision.”
“Black Panther: The Album” is available Feb. 9, 2018.
