A huge spoiler has emerged about the upcoming eighth season of “Game of Thrones”. If you’d prefer to not know about it and wait until the new season airs — then this is your last chance to stop reading now.
For those still reading, this dramatic new intel comes from the set of the show in Northern Ireland, where somebody managed to take a video of what appears to be Winterfell burning.
That’s right, the ancestral home of the Starks is apparently going to burn to the ground in season eight, according to the short video below, which was posted on Facebook.
“GOT set on fire🔥,” is written in the caption.
A photo of the fire was also shared on Twitter. “I’m told this is the current scene at Moneyglass on the set of #GameOfThrones,” wrote the person who posted the pic.
Meanwhile, some are theorizing that the fire is the work of the Night King and his undead army, while others wonder if Cersi is behind it.
In any case, other photos from the set taken last week indicate a huge battle scene was previously filmed at the Winterfell set, reportedly involving more than 200 extras.
We’ll find out more when “Game of Thrones” returns for its eighth and final season, probably sometime in 2019 although nobody really knows for sure.
