Elon Musk and Amber Heard have reportedly broken up for a second time after briefly reconciling following their initial split last summer.
As People reports, the billionaire Tesla CEO and the “Justice League” star have had an on-and-off relationship since 2016, when each was embroiled in high-profile breakups with their respective spouses (Heard divorced Johnny Depp, Musk ended his marriage to “Westworld” actress Talulah Riley).
Their recent reunion, however proved to be short-lived. “Elon decided it was time to end it and Amber agreed,” a source tells People of the breakup. “They both still care deeply for each other but the timing wasn’t right.”
Musk, 46, and Heard, 31, decided to call it quits in August, blaming their hectic schedules. “They had fun for a few months, but are both very busy with work now,” a source said at the time. “It was getting hard to find time to see each other. Elon is working day and night. This is his life and he loves it. He is in no position to be in a relationship right now and ended it.”
Yet a few months later the pair wound up getting back together, with a source telling People in January, “They’re definitely back together.”
Time will tell whether the mogul and the movie star will take a third swing at love at some point in the future.
