Bo Derek Defends Kim Kardashian In Cornrow Controversy: ‘It’s Just A Hairstyle’

Kim Kardashian has been taking heat on social media for her new hairstyle: tightly braided cornrows reminiscent of the style sported by Bo Derek in the 1979 comedy “10”.

While some are accusing the 37-year-old “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star of cultural appropriation after she shared her new ‘do on Snapchat, the woman who originally brought the hairstyle into the cultural mainstream is coming to Kardashian’s defence.
