Kim Kardashian has just hit another social-media milestone, and celebrated attaining 42 million followers on Instagram by posting a cleavage-baring photo that’s racy even by Kardashian standards.
The caption: simply “42 mil.”;
As The Daily Mail points out, Kim’s Instagram account has been gaining followers at a breakneck pace, picking up 19 million new followers in the span of just seven months (she celebrated hitting 27 million followers back in February).
How extraordinary is this? The Daily Mail does the math: “That’s more than 115,150 [new followers] every day, 4,798, every hour, 79 every minute, 1.3 every second — or four new followers every three seconds.”;
This catapults Kim to the third most-followed Instagram account, following Beyonce (who, with 42.6 million followers, may soon find herself in the #3 spot behind Kim).
The #1 Instagram account? That’s held by Instagram itself, which boasts more than 90 million followers.
