The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrapped up their whirlwind Scandinavian royal tour with a little fun in the snow.
On the couple’s final day in Oslo, Norway, the six-months pregnant Kate Middleton couldn’t help but playfully throw a snowball at Prince William, who was having none of it.
“It’s too cold for snowballs,” William joked during their visit to the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, one of Oslo’s most-famous landmarks. The couple was joined by Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit who looked on.
But it wasn’t all snowballs in Oslo.
Dressed for the day’s frigid temperatures, the royal couple also watched a group of schoolchildren take part in a ski lesson and cheer on ski jumpers at the resort. They later joined a group of kids and warmed up near a campfire where they toasted sausages and bread on a stick.
Prince William was a big fan of the winter wonderland cookout. When he was told it was time to leave, he responded with, “I want to wait until my bread’s finished.”
Though Prince George and Princess Charlotte didn’t accompany their mom and dad on the royal visit, Middleton found herself playing “rescue mom” to two young skiers who slipped and fell, helping them back up on their feet.
