Local authorities tweeted, “Michael Hunt [was arrested] for aggravated stalking and attempted kidnapping with a weapon. After receiving a tip we deemed a credible threat, Orlando Police Department got to him before he could get near singer Lana Del Rey last night.”

“Orlando police received a tip about a possible kidnapping threat to singer Lana Del Rey,” reads a statement from the police department. “Officers came in contact with Hunt… one block from the Amway Center.”

Continuing, “When he was taken into custody, Hunt was in possession of tickets to the Lana Del Rey performance and a knife. At no time was he able to make contact with Ms. Grant.”

Hunt is currently being held in county jail on no bond.

On Sunday, the “Lust for Life” singer broke her silence following the botched abduction attempt, telling fans via Twitter that she’s “doing fine” and will be performing at her scheduled show in Atlanta on Monday — along with sending a shoutout to Atlanta native Lil Yachty.

Upon further reflection, however, a tearful Del Ray opened up during Monday’s show in Atlanta about the kidnapping attempt.

“I am actually just feeling a little more emotional than I thought after what happened in Orlando, but I just really wanted to be here with you guys tonight,” she told the audience.

Continuing, “And actually I was feeling totally fine, and then just got, I don’t know, a little bit nervous when I got on stage. So I just want to say that I am super happy to be with you guys, and if I’m a little bit feathery, just bear with me.”
