Dwayne Johnson Insists ‘Skyscraper’ Is An ‘Original Concept’ After Fans Compare Movie To ‘Die Hard’

Dwayne Johnson’s Super Bowl spot for “Skyscraper” had it all: a bad a** action hero, terrorists, a wife in need of rescue, and of course a skyscraper.

However, despite fans immediately comparing the upcoming flick to “Die Hard”, Johnson has since insisted the movie is an “original concept.”

He shared a clip of the trailer on Twitter and gave fans a rundown of the plot, posting:

The actor’s comments come after social media users teased how similar the film’s plot was to the 1988 movie starring Bruce Willis.

One person even joked about how The Rock’s film is a remake of the critically-panned 1996 action thriller “Skyscraper” starring Anna Nicole Smith.
