It’s been a year since Eugenie Bouchard lost a Twitter bet to John Goehrke, but it looks like the pair are as close as ever as they celebrated at Super Bowl LII.
The pair came together after Bouchard boasted she knew the Atlanta Falcons would beat the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LI. At the time the New England Patriots were down to the Atlanta Falcons 28-3. The Tom Brady-led team eventually pulled off the upset, but not before Goehrke took advantage of Bouchard’s confidence, tweeting:
The rest, as they say, is history. Bouchard honoured the bet by going on a “casual” date to an NBA game where she thought the pair could have a low-key night. We all know how that turned out.
Since then the pair have sparked dating rumours as they spent the holidays together, and more recently announced they would be heading back to where it all began as guests of NFL Canada.
Leading up to Sunday, Bouchard shared some snaps of the pair celebrating pre-game events, like the NFL Honours.
And teased their “awkward” NFL Canada Twitter takeover.
As expected, the pair were flooded with questions about their relationship.
Teasing “the situation is…” Bouchard didn’t really get a chance to answer the question, but considering the Canadian tennis star was spotted hanging with NHL player Jordan Caron during the summer, we have a feeling these two are just adorable pals.
Learning a good life lesson, Eugenie tweeted “no bets for me tonight,” celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles win over the New England Patriots 41-33 in Minnesota.
ET Canada caught up with Eugenie last year, where she “served up” some of her favourite Instagram fails with Sangita Patel. Watch below.
