Melissa McCarthy plays a character who heads back to college in her new movie “Life of the Party” and she made sure to party up a storm on Monday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
McCarthy, 47, took part in a game of beer pong on the talk show, with the actress donning an apron with an array of red cups filled with beer on the front.
The actress and presenter, 60, surprised audience members Chassidy Jackson-Goodwin and her daughter Jaida Jackson, giving the deserving mother and daughter a whopping $75,000.
DeGeneres told how Chassidy had raised Jaida all by herself and had taken out loans to pay for her college education.

Monday’s interview also saw McCarthy talk about her new movie, which will be released in May and was directed by her husband, Ben Falcone.
The actress said of the meaning behind the flick, which sees her character Deanna go back to college after her husband asks for a divorce: “It is ever too late to do anything, to change and accomplish anything?
“She [Deanna] re-evaluates [everything] ‘Was it that good?’ and ‘Was I ever that happy?'”
