Natalie Portman Reveals She Has ‘100 Stories’ Of Hollywood Harassment

Natalie Portman is speaking out about her experiences with sexual harassment in Hollywood and is sharing how she’s had to deal with “manipulative” producers throughout her career.

While the Oscar winner says she hasn’t experienced any form of sexual abuse directly, the harassment was still very present. “I went from thinking, ‘I don’t have a story’ to ‘Oh, wait, I have 100 stories,’” she told Porter magazine. “I think a lot of people are having these reckonings with themselves.”

Like the time she was invited on a private jet, alone, “It was just the two of us, and only one bed was made up. Nothing happened, I was not assaulted,” Portman explained. “I did make a point of saying, ‘This does not make me feel comfortable,’ and that was respected. But that was super not OK, you know? That was really unacceptable and manipulative. I was scared.”

But as a young actress, Portman, like many young actresses, believed this behaviour was “part of the process.”
