Jamie Dornan insisted “Fifty Shades Freed” will be the final movie in the franchise during an appearance on UK talk show “Lorraine” on Monday.
The 35-year-old, who stars as Christian Grey in the raunchy films, said that unless E.L. James, real name Erika Mitchell, writes another book, this is it.
When asked by the host if this would be the last we see of Dornan as Mr. Grey, the actor replied: “Yeah I think so. There’s no other books.”
“Erika wrote the first two books again from Christian’s perspective, but I guess we’ve done those films, the same stories, so they won’t be doing that again,” he added.
Dornan also said he’s “too old” to be stripping off for sex scenes, insisting: “Unless Erika keeps writing, but Dakota and I are – particularly me, I’m getting too old for this.”
The heartthrob’s latest comments come after he told The Sun: “We have done two movies back to back now, and I’m actually finished with it. I’ve done ‘Fifty Shades’ forever.”
“I move on very fast in my mind. As much as from the outside people think you are synonymous with one character, I’m very much like, ‘Right, that’s done’ and move on to the next project and worry about that character,” he explained.
“Fifty Shades Freed” hits theatres Feb. 9.
