‘Dancing With the Stars’ Cast Members Emotionally React To Massive Tour Bus Crash

The “Dancing With the Stars” family is grateful that none of the cast and crew of “Dancing With the Stars: Live! Light Up the Night” were seriously injured during a deadly multi-car accident on Monday afternoon in Iowa, involving one of the tour buses transporting members of the show.

A source tells ET that the tour bus slammed into another truck that was involved in the pile-up.

“No one was injured, but it was pretty scary,” the source says.

Monday’s scheduled show at Stephens Auditorium in Ames, Iowa, was canceled due to the crash. As many as 70 cars were involved in the accident, KCCI 8in Des Moines reports, with one person dead and five more being sent to the hospital in critical condition.

On Tuesday, “DWTS” cast members reacted to the deadly collision. Six-time champ Derek Hough Instagrammed a picture of him and his girlfriend, dancer Hayley Erbert.

“I’m so thankful my love is safe,” he wrote. “To my ‘DWTS’ family. I love you all and I am so glad you are all safe after such a terrible accident. Be strong, be safe and I will see you very soon.”

Fellow pro dancer Sasha Farber tweeted that he and fiancee Emma Slater are safe.

“Thank you so much for all the sweet messages @EmmaSlaterDance and myself are ok,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, dancer Witney Carson — who dropped out of the tour due to family health reasons —  tweeted, “So glad everyone on the @DWTSLiveTour is safe — my heart goes out to everyone affected by this terrible accident 💔 love you guys.”

Two-time champ Val Chmerkovskiy asked for prayers.

Season 25 contestant Victoria Arlen, David Ross and winner Jordan Fisher also commented on the deadly crash.
