In a behind the scenes video, Taylor Swift gushes over Ed Sheeran’s fiancee Cherry Seaborn while chatting with the “Shape Of You” singer about their track “End Game”.
Sheeran, 26, who announced his engagement last month, gets candid with Swift, 28, about some of the lyrics in the song. With Swift telling the British hitmaker: “I wanna talk about the 4th of July line because that makes me really happy.”
Sheeran then replies, “Well, you see, it’s kind of a play on words — well, not really a play on words. There’s a film with Tom Cruise called ‘Born on the Fourth of July’. My relationship started on the Fourth of July.”
The “Look What You Made Me Do” musician immediately hit back: “At who’s house?.” To which Sheeran shared, “At Taylor’s house. So the story was, I was at Taylor’s party, and then a girl I went to school with, who’s pretty cool, ended up being in Rhode Island… I was like, ‘Taylor, can she turn up?’ And here we are.”
Swift gushes of Sheeran’s other half, Seaborn: “Ugh, she is the coolest.”
The songstress also recalls making the pair a sign to celebrate their first anniversary, which read: “Happy 1st ed-iver-cherry!”
Despite the video taking a sweet turn, it started off by Swift accusing Sheeran of “peacocking” because he chose to sit closer to the camera and slightly higher up than her to give the impression he’s much taller.
Having a laugh at her pal, the “Bad Blood” singer joked: “I just want to start by saying that this is what he does, he tries to elevate himself geographically so he can seem better than me,” before she added: “Experts will study this and say that you’re, like… peacocking right now.”
