In her upcoming flick, “Our Brand Is Crisis”;, Sandra Bullock plays a political consultant – a role originally written with George Clooney in mind.

The star tells Entertainment Weekly, “Initially, it was written with Clooney in mind.”; The 50-year-old admits she went in search of male roles, “about two-and-a-half years ago I just put out the feelers saying, “I’m not reading anything I’m excited about. Are there any male roles out there that they don’t mind switching to a female role?'”;

Well it turns out there was a role made for Clooney that was perfect for her in the form of “Calamity”; Jane Bodine. “She’s an amalgamation of an essence of a few people, she’s someone who’s superb in her field,”; the star explains.

Bullock says she was excited to play the character who “brings a degree of chaos when she steps into the world.”; “You don’t get to read roles like this a lot,”; says the Oscar-winner. “There’s a lot of unforgivable things that she does, yet somehow you have to cheer for her.”;
