Paul Rudd And Jimmy Fallon Recreate Go West’s ‘King Of Wishful Thinking’ For ‘Tonight Show’

Paul Rudd has always proven to be game for whatever sketch or stunt Jimmy Fallon cooks up whenever he visits “The Tonight Show”, whether it’s channelling Freddie Mercury for a lip sync battle or recreating Styx’s “Too Much Time on My Hands“.

The “Ant-Man” star proved it again on Friday night when he and Fallon teamed up to recreate an entirely different video: “The King of Wishful Thinking” from U.K. pop duo Go West.

After debuting the video, Fallon described the shot-for-shot recreation — which also features The Roots — as “one of the best, oddest videos I think we’ve ever made.”

“Do you think there were storyboards to that video?” Rudd asked Fallon. “They really went into a white empty space and said, ‘We have hockey players. We got ballet dancers. We have a guy that kinda looks like Roy Orbison on a catamaran.'”
