Two years later, a British woman is still fuming after her daughter was bitten by one of Elton John’s dogs during a play date with his children.

As The Sun reports, Mari Kieran took her then-five-year-old daughter, Charlotte, to Elton John’s home in Berkshire, England, to play with his sons, Zachary and Elijah. At some point during the play date, Kieran’s daughter reached over to pet one of the musician’s cocker spaniels as it slept; the dog responded by nipping at the child and leaving scratches on her face.

Kieran tells The Sun that her daughter returned home “looking like she was attacked by Freddy Krueger.”

Kieran says that her daughter has been receiving counselling over the incident, adding that she’s disappointed she has yet to receive a phone call from John 70, or husband David Furnish, 55.

“Their dog full on bit my child in the face. I don’t care who they are. It was revolting,” she says. “This is Elton John and David Furnish’s animal attacking a child and at the very least I would have expected a phone call.”

Adds Kieran: “She was shaking and her eyes were glazed. I’ve never seen a child so traumatized. How would you feel if a dog bit your face? She was only five.”

Kieran insists she has no plans to take legal action over the incident, and is speaking out now because her daughter no longer goes to the same school as Sir Elton’s sons.

“This is about everyday human decency and values and ethics,” she says. “And when it comes to the crunch this is about a child. This was bad and it could have been far worse. If I had an animal and it turned on another person’s child I would have been mortified and gone out of my way to make sure the child was OK.”

A rep for the “Rocket Man” singer has responded to Kieran’s allegations: “When this incident was reported back to Elton and David two years ago it was detailed as a minor nip on the nose by their spaniel who was startled by Charlotte,” states the rep.

“Three attempts were made to check on Charlotte’s well-being following the incident, to the mother and her nanny, and each time they confirmed that Charlotte was perfectly fine,” the rep adds. “I can also confirm that Elton and David have never ever had any complaints about their dogs’ behaviour.”
