When he’s not filming big-screen comedy movies or hitting the road to perform standup, funnyman Kevin Hart has been travelling throughout the U.S. to organize spontaneous 5K runs, his way of helping to get the nation in shape by promoting the idea that fitness can be fun.

Yesterday, thousands turned up in Dallas to jog alongside Hart, but it was one participant in particular who caught the comic’s attention: a large, overweight man who bravely decided to tackle the 5K race.

This is why I do it….Simply for moments like this!!!” wrote Hart in the caption of a photo he posted on Instagram, in which he runs alongside the man. “I saw him a quarter mile out from the finish line and I was so inspired by how hard he was working….I jumped down and ran out to him and finished his 5K with him!!!! Good job man….u are well on ur way to greatness!!!!”;

In another Instagram post, Hart celebrates the Dallas event’s success, saying his spontaneous 5K idea is becoming a “global movement.”;

“Today’s run in Dallas was my biggest turn out to date….over 2000 people showed up & showed out,” he wrote of Friday’s race. “Woooooow….I told you guys that these runs are going to keep getting bigger & better!!! This is a GLOBAL MOVEMENT people!!!! Everyone did a amazing job today. We motivated one another to be great and celebrated everyone’s finish with love!!!!”;
