The Super Bowl LII headliner’s fifth studio album Man of the Woods debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 on Sunday. This marks Timberlake’s fourth number 1 album.
Man of the Woods scored 293,000 equivalent album sales with 242,000 coming by way of traditional album sales.
His success marks the biggest opening sales week since Taylor Swift’s Reputation dropped in November and the biggest opening sales week for a male since April’s “DAMN.” by Kendrick Lamar.
Migos’ Culture II dropped to second place in its second week on the charts, while the soundtrack to sleeper-hit “The Greatest Showman” landed in third.
Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) continued its resurgence landing at number 4 and Grammy-winning Album of the Year 24K Magic by Bruno Mars scored number 5.
