Jimmy Kimmel pointed out the “real stars” of the Winter Olympics during Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” as he got the audience to re-enact the North Korean cheerleaders’ chant in a hilarious skit.
The 50-year-old host played clips of the “catchy” chants before he told the crowd: “We should try. We should see if we can do it here with our studio audience.”
“These women are cheering like their lives depended on it… because they do. They literally do,” Kimmel then joked.
The host went on to reference Kim Jong-un, explaining the supreme leader had sent more than 200 red tracksuit-clad women to cheer on North Korea at the Games, which are currently being held in South Korea.
The studio audience erupted into an array of “la la la’s,” as Kimmel laughed: “I feel like a dictator.”
He then added: “Hey Kim Jong-un, I hope you’re watching. I hope you remember this before you send a missile our way. We’re in Los Angeles, all right?”
