Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant are ready to pick things up where right where they left off at the end of season one of Netflix’s “Santa Clarita Diet” with your exclusive first look at things to come when the season two premieres on March 23.
As the Hammond family tries to adapt to Sheila’s (Barrymore) advancing undead state, they realize just how good they’ve become at murder. So good, in fact, that the number of missing neighbours in Santa Clarita isn’t escaping notice anymore. As the family tries to contend with Sheila’s meal plan and maintain their comfortable suburban lifestyle, the Hammonds are looking at the bigger picture and chasing the source of the virus to hopefully contain it, thus saving humanity.
Along for the ride in season 2 are guest stars Joel McHale and Maggie Lawson, who join the series as a pair of aggressive married realtors. Also joining the cast are Gerald McRaney as a retired army colonel who finds Joel (Olyphant) a little intimidating, and Zachary Knighton as a man who is ready to pursue the truth at any cost when it comes to the undead.
