Sally Field’s Son Finally Meets Adam Rippon Thanks To Mom’s Matchmaking

Sally Field’s son Sam Greisman finally met  Olympian figure skater Adam Rippon, just a few weeks after his mom tried to set the pair up via social media.

According to Page Six, during the recent Winter Games in South Korea, Greisman sent Rippon a direct message via Twitter “to apologize for his mom embarrassingly trying to set them up.”

Greisman shared a snippet of some texts he and his mom sent each other while they watched TV coverage of the PyeongChang Winter Games, with Sam telling his mom about his crush on Rippon.

In the texts, Field responds that the skater is “insanely pretty,” and that her son needs to “find a way” to meet him.

The 71-year-old actress, however, took things a step further when she hopped on Twitter herself, tagged Rippon and sent him her son’s tweet.

Her son offered the perfect response:

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Rippon was initially speechless at Field’s request but then shared a sweet message for Sam.

“Sam, your mom – I admire her,” he said, “and I’m sure one day we’re going to meet! So thanks, mom.”

He added, “She bold.”

Rippon’s prediction came true on Saturday, Mar. 10 when he and Greisman met face to face at the 2018 HRC dinner in Los Angeles, where Rippon was one of the speakers.

Greisman shared a photo of himself and Rippon on Twitter, writing, “Thanks mom.”

Fields’ hilariously embarrassing matchmaking attempt did not go unnoticed in the Twitterverse:
