Natalia Dyer trades in 1980s suburbia for modern-day clubbing in the music video for James Bay’s new single “Wild Love”.

The “Stranger Things” star joins the British singer-songwriter in his first release since his Grammy-nominated 2015 debut album, Chaos & The Calm.

Bay opens the video by singing directly into the camera against a black backdrop while a flock of purple butterflies hover around him. He then locks eyes with Dyer across a crowded nightclub dance floor, and the two push their way through the crowd to reach each other.

The 2016 BRIT award winner for Best Male Artist admitted he was a little starstruck by the 21-year-old actress, who plays Nancy Wheeler in the hit Netflix sci-fi series.

“It was such a pleasure to work with Natalia on the ‘Wild Love’ set. She’s a lovely person, a huge talent and it was great hanging with her while making this video,” Bay said. “I’m also a massive ‘Stranger Things’ fan so tried everything in my power not to fanboy too hard.”

Bay first released “Wild Love” earlier this month, and it marks quite the departure from the guitar-based sound of his debut album. The new track features more of an electronic-pop influence, and according to Bay, that is a vibe that will carry throughout the new record.

He previously told NME: “I got deep into Frank Ocean, LCD Soundsystem, Chance The Rapper, a load of David Bowie, Lorde. All of these sounds that don’t really relate to the first album but hugely relate to this album. I’m really excited for people to hear that and some familiar moments too.”

Bay recently attended the VO5 NME Awards, where he described the early response to the new single. “It’s been pretty amazing,” he said. “I found out that it got a million streams in the first 24 hours. It passed two million and tonight it hit three million. It’s only been out for a few days. It’s very exciting.”
