Carrie Underwood Donates $10K To Childhood Friend Following Car Accident

Carrie Underwood has donated $10,000 to a GoFundMe page for an Oklahoma police officer who broke his neck in a car crash.

The generous donation for Checotah Assistant Police Chief, Justin Durrett, was made under the Country superstar’s married name, Carrie Fisher.

According to local news reports Durrett was heading to work on Feb. 11 when his truck rolled off the road. He’s currently still in the intensive care unit at Checotah’s local hospital.

Underwood, who was a childhood friend of Durrett’s, and her donation will go towards helping his family pay for medical bills.

The campaign’s goal was set to $20,000 and with Underwood’s donation, the fund has reached $12,965.
